Education

Malvern Theatre’s Education department has a strong ethos of providing community wide access to the Theatre. We exist in order to provide adults and young people with quality educational opportunities relating to Theatre, Dance, Music, Film and Art, with a special focus on integrating these events with our seasonal programming. These opportunities range from pre-show talks and post-show discussions, to summer schools and workshops (both at the theatre and in the community), tours, work experience opportunities and dance classes.
Features of our current programme for 2009 include our Shakespeare Theatre project, providing a unique opportunity for students to work in the context of the time on a representation of an Elizabethan stage. Other highlights are the continuation of our Parents and Wobblers sessions (movement and dance for the under 4's), our Youth Dance Program, and also our Chance to Dance Classes for ages 55yrs+.
To contact the education department, please either use the form on the ‘contact us’ page or contact our Education Officer (Sophie McLellan) direct on 01684 580943 or e-mail education@malvern-theatres.co.uk
