Middle Ground Theatre Company Presents
On Golden Pond
Directed by Michael Lunney
On Golden Pond is a timeless and
endearing love story of Ethel and Norman
Thayer, who are returning to their summer
home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth
year. They are joined by their daughter
and her fiancée, who leave their teenage
son with Norman and Ethel while they
travel to Europe.
A deeply moving and touching exploration
of the relationship between the elderly
couple, their daughter and their grandson
follows. As the summer wanes, there is a

But the years have been good, and

A warm, funny, moving play, brilliantly acted by Richard Johnson and Stefanie Powers. Not to be missed.
A nice play, well produced and directed and extremely well acted by all.
However - one complaint.
I believe Stephanie Powers to be an accomplished actress and would have preferred her not have spent a considerable time impersonating Katharine Hepburn.
Other than that - I would recommend.
Shame it wasn't better attended.

was really worth the drive to malvern tonight what a lovely charming & heartwarming gentle story ..that envelops u with out you realising , great production values , really well acted throughout ..gentle laughs ..belly laughs ..and touching moments ..on a cold wet snowy night we left with a warm glow and a tear in our eyes ..catch it before its too late
A well acted production, Richard Johnston great as Norman. Stefanie Powers as Ethel surely did not need to draw on Katherine Hepburn for her interpretaion of the role..
However both portrayed the roles with insight, and there were plenty of laughs too...
A beautiful and heartwarming production with the much appreciated feel good factor. Richard Johnson and Stephanie Powers were superb - her New England accent was spot on!
