open quote marks very disappointed. left at 10.30pm no interval. we had sat there for nearly three hours. rare moments of his brilliance but marred by a singer in the middle. surely an interval would have been better here. everybody desperate for the toilet and many people getting up to leave and not return. unfortunately the potential was there but should have been condensed somewhat. open quote marks

open quote marks Took my 16year old daughter along to the Thurs show. Wasn't sure if she would enjoy Ken. Next day she made her friends laugh with some of the Ken Dodd jokes. I hope she remembers Ken Dodd, when she sees 'alternative' comedians. Ken is a wonderful example showing you don't need the "F" word to get laugh. Unbelieveable how at 81, Ken could do four and half hours enteraining an audience. The time went so quick ! Perhaps some of his jokes didn't work for some of us in the audience, or didn't understand. But when they did (and they were in the vast majority for me) I haven't laughed and smiled so much for such a long time. Worth going just to experience that. For those people who aren't sure about Ken Dodds humour , do go to one of his shows. You won't be disappointed. open quote marks
