open quote marks The Witches was a fun and inventive play that was very true to the book. The show was carefully staged so that adults and children could enjoy it equally. The prop use was excellent, and you never had to imagine that something was there when it wasn't. The actors went into the audience and interacted in the style of pantomime in places, but in others it was a serious play. There were also some very good visual techniques, such as silhouettes behind a screen and peoples' faces being projected on to the wall. I would gladly go and see this excellent play again. open quote marks
