open quote marks STRICTLY TAP DANCE FEVER Absolutely breathtaking! The talent offered in this production is awesome! The only thing that let’s this show down is the name, Strictly Tap Dance Fever, which doesn’t begin to describe the magnitude of performance skill awaiting the audience. A simple, scaffold set and atmospheric lighting create a wonderful canvas for the dazzling display of tap dance, interspersed with song. 14 gifted tappers, 7 girls and 7 boys, perform a collection of numbers from the 1930s through to 80’s rock. The first act focuses on the glamorous musicals of a wonderful dance era such as 42nd Street, Anything Goes and Singing In The Rain. We are delighted with the huge company numbers from all those toe-tapping shows without having to sit through the dialogue and plot. The dancers adorn an array of fabulous costumes as they beam their way through number after number in the most exhausting fashion. They are given an occasional rest as we are serenaded by Kate Galston and Steven Serlin, who match the dancers energy with their own vocal talents. The second act treats us to a wartime big band and fosse through to Queen, with a splattering of Tap Dogs. All of the performers were superb and I would like to single out a few performances in particular but the programme didn’t have photos or biographies of the dancers, which was disappointing and mentioned by many of the audience who purposefully bought a programme in the interval to find out about the dancers. This show is really worth seeing and will leave you exhilarated and with a huge grin on your face. Strictly Tap Dance Fever is on until Saturday. Go and see it! Rob Holcroft close quote marks

open quote marks Super show - wonderful tap dancing - lovely young dance troupe who worked so hard and danced so well and professionally But annoyed that although their names were listed in the programme - there were no individual photographs to identify "who was who" ! Would thoroughly recommend that you see this show as this is the final tour ending this Saturday open quote marks
