Middle Ground Theatre Company Presents
On Golden Pond
Directed by Michael Lunney
On Golden Pond is a timeless and
endearing love story of Ethel and Norman
Thayer, who are returning to their summer
home on Golden Pond for the forty-eighth
year. They are joined by their daughter
and her fiancée, who leave their teenage
son with Norman and Ethel while they
travel to Europe.
A deeply moving and touching exploration
of the relationship between the elderly
couple, their daughter and their grandson
follows. As the summer wanes, there is a
realisation is that time is against them.
But the years have been good, and
perhaps there is another summer on
Golden Pond still to enjoy...

A warm, funny, moving play, brilliantly acted by Richard Johnson and Stefanie Powers. Not to be missed.
A nice play, well produced and directed and extremely well acted by all.
However - one complaint.
I believe Stephanie Powers to be an accomplished actress and would have preferred her not have spent a considerable time impersonating Katharine Hepburn.
Other than that - I would recommend.
Shame it wasn't better attended.
