Winner, Best New Play, Laurence Olivier Awards 2007

Blackbird
by David Harrower

Directed by David Grindley

Blackbird
The international award-winning play Blackbird opens its first UK tour in Spring 2008. Two people had an affair 15 years ago and now meet again. Ray has made a new life for himself, with a fresh identity and didn't think he could be found. Una has thought of nothing else since, and on finding a photo of him sets out to find Ray with shattering consequences. Blackbird is an electrifying, dark, explosive new play originally premiered at the Edinburgh International Theatre in 2005 prior to seasons in both London’s West End and Broadway. This phenomenal drama was premiered in Sydney at Christmas, directed by Cate Blanchett.
