Equus by Peter Shaffer opened at the National Theatre in 1973 and became a worldwide sensation. In 2007 a new production of Equus opened in London, starring Richard
Griffiths and Daniel Radcliffe. It became one of the biggest West End hits ever. Now you have the chance to experience this theatrical masterpiece. For no apparent reason, seventeen year old Alan Strang stabs the eyes of six horses whilst working at a riding stables. Martin Dysart is the
psychiatrist who has the task of investigating this mysterious case as well as trying to cure the boy. Peter Shaffer is the Oscar winning writer of Amadeusand A Royal Hunt
of the Sun, recently revived at the National Theatre.
This production is directed by Thea Sharrock with design by John Napier, whose past work has included CATS, Les Miserables and Miss Saigon.

Caution: Some scenes may be unsuitable for children.

open quote marks as a mental health nurse i found the play Equus most informative and captured ones imagination for the whole of the play. Simon Callow and Alfie Allan were simply wonderful and so realistic in the parts they played. well done you deserve all the success for this production. open quote marks
