The Thorn Birds: The Musical
Starring
Matthew Goodgame as Ralph
Helen Anker as Meggie
Peter Karrie as The Cardinal

Colleen McCullough’s blockbuster novel has sold over 30 million copies world-wide and was originally adapted for screen, in the iconic TV mini series of the 80’s starring Richard Chamberlain and Rachel Ward. Now The Thorn Birds has been turned into a sensational new musical, with book and lyrics by author Colleen McCullough herself.

“The legendary Michael Bogdanov’s direction is red hot” THIS IS LOCAL LONDON

The story is an immense, heroic tale of dark and conflicting passions - and a scandalous legacy of forbidden love. Spanning the lives of three generations of the Cleary family as they struggle to survive in the harsh and rugged vastness of the Australian Outback, it is a magnificent sweeping tale set to a tremendous score composed by Gloria Bruni.

"Gloria Bruni's score is very good indeed…. superbly played by the onstage musicians... tunes and textures that entrance or move" THEATRE WALES
