Oscar Wilde’s controversial play and
starring the tempestuous, Russian-born
actress Alla Nazimova. This silent
classic is accompanied by music, newly
written by Charles Barber. Inspired by
traditional Arabic ensembles, the score
is performed live by four percussionists,
with vocal samples and electronics.
