Malvern Theatres are proud to announce that the Malvern Theatres Young Company (MTYC) will be staging two productions in 2016 as part of the Summer Project.
The first production will be the American classic Our Town, by Thornton Wilder. The talented cast aged 13 years and over will perform on the iconic Festival Theatre stage from Wednesday 10th to Saturday 13th August. [BOOK TICKETS ONLINE]
Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning drama tells the story of American life at the turn of the 20th century, following the everyday lives of two families, the Gibbs and the Webbs, from births, to marriage and ultimately, death. The production will be directed by Nic Lloyd.
The second Summer production will be Seussical, the musical based on the works of Dr. Seuss. The cast range from ages 8-24 years and will be performing in the Forum Theatre from Tuesday 23rd to Saturday 27th August. [BOOK TICKETS ONLINE]
After all those years being stuck on a page, did you ever imagine you’d see me onstage? Now I’m here, there is no telling what may ensue! No, there’s no telling what! But I’ll give you a clue… So says the mischievous Cat in the Hat at the onset of this fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza by TONY winners Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty. Andy Reiss of Beyond the Barricade is set to direct the company for his 5th consecutive year.
Past MTYC shows include Little Shop Of Horrors, Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar and Oliver!
