‘Rising star’ is not too strong a description of this talented young violinist from Birmingham: already appearing with leading orchestras including the John Wilson Orchestra, he has been fortunate to have been loaned a £1m violin from a local benefactor. He has played at the Proms, and was a finalist in the BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2016. Roberto won the Chandos Young Musician competition in 2015 but was unfortunately unable to fulfill his Chandos engagement last year, so we are very pleased to have the opportunity to work with him this season.
