An Evening with Johnny Kingdom

24th January 2018 7:45 pm

Johnny Kingdom is a one-off. This one-time gravedigger and wildlife enthusiast has enchanted huge audiences on the BBC and ITV with his unique approach to filming the animals and birds on Exmoor and across the wider country.

‘Enchanting’, ‘He makes you feel you are there with him’, ‘He’s clearly in love with Exmoor’, are just some of the comments from the press about Johnny’s television programmes. His passion for deer, badger, fox and birdlife and his brilliance at transmitting that passion to the viewer, often with a wobbly camera, is unmatched.

In conversation with the producer of his television programmes, David Parker, Johnny will show clips from his archive and talk about how he managed to film some of his most memorable encounters with the cream of Britain’s wildlife and some of the scripts he got into whilst doing it. There will also be a chance to quiz Johnny about all aspects of his filming and his wild life on Exmoor.

Ticket price includes a £1 contribution to our heritage fund.
