Murder on the Orient Express – Relaxed Screening (12A)
28th November 2017 2:00 pm
Relaxed screenings are specifically designed for people who find regular performance settings challenging. We extend a warm welcome to people who feel
overwhelmed by the ordinary scheduled cinema screenings. These relaxed screenings are open to anyone who would benefit from a relaxed, non-judgemental atmosphere including (but not limited to) people living with dementia; people with an Autism Spectrum Condition; people with learning difficulties; people with sensory or communication difficulties; parents with young babies; and anyone who feels they would benefit from a more supportive and inclusive film going experience.
About the film:
Hercule Poirot is a renowned detective, but the famed Orient Express throws up what is perhaps his toughest case yet….
On a train journey as famous as the detective, Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh), is forced to launch an investigation onboard the Orient Express when a murder is discovered.
With the train stuck due to a snow drift, Poirot is disturbed from his sleep by a cry coming from one of the other compartments.
A wealthy American by the name of Ratchett (Johnny Depp) has been murdered. Poirot faces the difficult challenge of discovering the culprit before it’s too late, and must solve the mystery while all of his suspects are still aboard the train.
Based on the 1934 novel of the same name, Murder on the Orient Express is one of Agatha Christie’s most treasured works, and comes to the big screen once again, after first being lifted from its pages back in 1974.
This brand new adaptation promises to be a blockbuster of a film, with an all-star cast, including the theatrical legend, Kenneth Branagh, set to direct and star as Hercule Poirot himself.
Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley (The Force Awakens) plays Mary Debenham, and is joined with other on-screen murder suspects such as Penélope Cruz (Zoolander 2), Judi Dench (Skyfall), and Willem Dafoe (Finding Dory).
