Orchestra of The Swan: Jennifer Pike plays Tchaikovsky

March 12th 7:45 pm

Prokofiev Symphony no1 in D major ‘Classical’
Schubert Symphony no3 in D major
Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto in D major

Jennifer Pike – violin
Stacey Watton – conductor

Orchestra of the Swan welcomes Jennifer Pike, renowned for her unique artistry and compelling insight into music from the Baroque to the present day, performing Tchaikovsky’s best-known Violin Concerto. Prokofiev’s most famous symphony, the ‘Classical’ said by the composer to be the type of symphony Haydn would have written if he’d lived another 100 years, and the splendid Symphony no3 by Schubert, make up the rest of this exciting programme.

Pre-show talk, 6.45pm.  Free admission. Book HERE.
