Peter Rabbit (PG) Relaxed Screening

13th April 2018 10:30 am

A mischievous rabbit with an adventurous spirit lands in hot water when he tries to sneak into a mean-spirited farmers treasured vegetable garden.

For Peter Rabbit (James Corden) and his friends, the lure of local farm, owned by Mr. McGregor (Domhnall Gleeson), is irresistible. Sure, there may be the odd sly fox sneaking around the shrubs ready to pounce, but the array of tasty vegetables just waiting to be munched make the risk worthwhile.

But, then there’s Mr. McGregor himself. Grumpy, cantankerous and downright cunning, he cannot bear the thought or sight of pesky bunnies creeping around his beloved garden, and if there’s one thing he hates the most, it’s Peter.

When McGregor begins dating his neighbour Bea (Rose Byrne), things begin to get complicated. Bea loves animals, and has a particular soft spot for Peter, who in turn finds her quite adorable. Before long, it’s man versus rabbit as the feuding pair go to great lengths to outsmart one another and win over Bea’s affection.

A children’s favourite since Beatrix’s Potters The Tale of Peter Rabbit was published in 1902, this all-new adaptation seamlessly blends live-action with animation to create what’s set to be the family film of Easter 2018.

James Corden (Ralph Breaks the Internet: Wreck-It-Ralph 2) leads the all-star voice cast, with support from Margot Robbie (Suicide Squad 2), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars: The Last Jedi) and pop-star Sia (The Emoji Movie).

Cert: PG
Running time:95 mins
