Sir Despard Murgatroyd has inherited a witch’s curse forcing him to commit a crime a day or die in agony, but his shy, unassuming elder brother Robin, believed to be dead, is discovered to be alive and living nearby. Robin must now step into his rightful place and assume the title of the Bad Baronet of Ruddigore and either commit a crime every day or submit to the horrible consequences meted out by the terrifying ghosts of his ancestors.
