Sing (U)

25th February 2017 - 13th March 2017

Event Navigation

To save his theatre from closing down, Buster the koala decides to host a singing competition. As the local talent assembles, things begin to turn into a zoo. But you know what they say – the show must go on…

The world of show-business is turbulent – when you’re up, you’re flying. But when you’re down, it’s the pits.

Buster Moon (Matthew McConaughey) is familiar with this roller coaster. He’s a koala who owns a theatre in a society where the stage is rapidly being swallowed by the reign of the screen. Buster Moon is in the pits.

However, he’s not one to bow out so easily.

To save his business from closing down, he and his friend Eddie the sheep (John C. Reilly) devise the ultimate money-raising event – a singing competition.

News of the auditions spreads throughout the neighbourhood, and those who dare to bare their talent are soon lining up around the block.

Rosita the pig (Reese Witherspoon) dreams of breaking out of her wife/mother domestic routine and showcasing her star power.

Ash the porcupine (Scarlett Johansson) wants to shatter conventions and bring her alternative vibe to central stage.

Johnny the gorilla (Taron Egerton) hopes to surpass his father’s expectations and find a pathway of his own.

As the motley crew attempt to bring their voices together ahead of opening night, the entire competition turns into a complete zoo.

But you know what they say – the show must go on…

Director Garth Jennings (The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy) assembles a star-studded ensemble comedy voices in this charming and hilarious family film. See it in 3D to get a theatrical experience that Buster would be proud of!
