YNSSO and NSSO Sinfonia Concert ’17

16th July 2017 11:15 am

Programme to be announce.

Young NSSO is a training orchestra for children of primary/prep school age. Members are drawn from both state and independent schools, are typically aged 9-13 years old and playing at ABRSM grades 3-5 standard.  The orchestra provides an outstanding opportunity for these young musicians to play ensemble repertoire which is likely to be beyond the range of their school or local group.

The NSSO Sinfonia was created to provide opportunities for younger players by bridging the gap between Young NSSO and the NSSO main orchestra. It is also possible to graduate from Young NSSO without aspiring to early membership of the NSSO main orchestra.  In this way players can progress through the organisation at their own speed and are offered promotion at an appropriate time in their own personal musical development.
