Malvern Theatres and Lindley Heritage welcome you to their restaurant in the heart of the theatre: Scene Bistro. Totally refurbished in 2011, changes to the previous restaurant area have seen the installation of contemporary drop down lighting, glass screens, and new front and back bars all of which come together to create an inviting, fresh, light and airy dining experience, whilst offering greater levels of privacy for diners.

   Offering morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and pre-theatre dining, Scene Bistro’s new menus will focus on high quality, freshly-prepared food using locally-sourced and British seasonal produce, with the light lunchtime menu featuring hand-cut farmhouse sandwiches filled with Worcester White Cheddar and seasonal fruit homemade chutney or Severn and Wye Valley Smoked Salmon (supplied by the Severn and Wye Valley Smokery) with Cucumber.

The first seasonal pre-theatre dinner menu is being launched with a ‘Best of British’ theme. Choose from five starters such as Potted Duck and Green Peppercorns served on Sour Dough Toast with Black Orange Chutney or Malvern fresh fish and chips with Crushed Peas and Caper and Gherkin Dressing. The selection of five main dishes include Malvern Gold Cider Braised Pork Belly with Black Pudding, Pancetta Crisp, Savoy Cabbage and Knight’s Apple Compote, and there’s an imaginative vegetarian option of Baked Baby Squash with Herb Cous Cous and Glazed Worcester White Cheddar. Desserts range from a delicate Winter Pimm’s Jelly with Peppermint Ice Cream to a more hearty perennial favourite – Sticky Toffee Pudding with Butterscotch Sauce.
