Everyone Malvern Theatres is incredibly sad to hear that our former Chairman Clive Richards has died.
Clive was at the helm of the Board of Trustees of Malvern Theatres for more than a decade and his tenure included overseeing the £7.2 million lottery refurbishment in the late 1990s.
Tamar Thomson, current chair of Malvern Theatres Board, said: “Along with myself, the Malvern Theatres Board continued to look to Clive as a leader long after he stepped down from the Chairman role. He was so generous with both his time and his advice that I feel certain we were not the only organisation who felt that way.
“Clive will of course also be remembered as one of the region’s most generous philanthropists, and we are all incredibly moved to imagine the number of lives transformed through his munificence over the years.
“Clive’s significance was strong in Malvern Theatres and it is hard to imagine a future without him, though we will work hard to continue the incredible legacy he helped build.”
Our thoughts are with his wife Sylvia and his family at this difficult time.
