To hire the Forum Theatre for a staged event, please contact Lucy Fern on 01684 580950 or email email@example.com. All events are different and will need to be individually priced and contracted. Details of our basic rates and terms are below:
Venue hire of the Forum Theatre per day starts at £1575 plus VAT. This assumes a hire period of up to 12 hours and includes two technicians, one lighting operator and one stage manager for that period. The Forum Theatre will come supplied with a basic lighting stage four-colour wash. Any additional lighting work (focusing, Hanging projectors etc) involving the use of the Tallescope needs a minimum crew of 4 people, 5 if rigging equipment weighs more than 20kg. Additional crew are charged at £20.50 per hour (minimum 4 hours).
For performances requiring more than a microphone for announcements and a CD player for background music, as sound technician will be required. This is chargeable at £20.50 plus VAT per hour.
Shows requiring a technical get-out (eg removal of a PA system, lighting equipment of stage set will incur get out charges. These are charged at standard BECTU/TMA rates.
For all ticketed events it is a requirement that tickets are sold through our Box Office. There are two box office rates available: a commission on sales of 20% of box office receipts or a flat fee of £1500 plus VAT. All card sales are subject to an additional commission rate of 4%. Booking Fees and Heritage Fund contributions will be charged at current rates on top of the basic ticket price.
Presence of the Malvern Theatres website (including online sales) and display of leaflets in the theatre foyer is included in the hire fee. Additional marketing support including brochure advertising is available by arrangement.
Programmes and Merchandise sales
Merchandise sales are charged at 25%. We are happy to provide sellers at a charge of £10 plus VAT per hour on behalf of hirers, although will need advance notification of products and prices.
