Malvern Theatres Young Company is delighted to announce its summer musical for 2024.
We are excited to be staging FAME THE MUSICAL this summer and we are seeking talented young performers aged 14 years and older to audition.
The professionally led experience will be directed and choreographed by Andy Reiss and Katie Leeming of Beyond the Barricade Company.
We are looking for performers with a strong work ethic and a passion for theatre. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to perform in a professional theatre setting and to develop all of their performance skills.
As part of the intensive three-week training programme, participants will improve their confidence, technique, and delivery on stage by gaining a practical understanding of how to produce polished professional work through an intensive rehearsal process.
Working with a professional creative team makes this an ideal experience for anyone interested in gaining significant performance experience in a supportive environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and growth. It also allows participants to learn from experienced professionals and gain invaluable insight into the industry. This experience will also provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a career in the performing arts.
Rehearsals – Monday 5th August – Monday 19th August 2024
Performances – Tuesday 20th August – Saturday 24th August 2024
Malvern Theatres, Forum Theatre
Due to the intensive rehearsal process, participants must be available for all of the dates. In addition to these dates, there will also be a vocal rehearsal arranged in June/July once casting is confirmed.
