We invite young people wanting to pursue a career in the creative aspects of theatre making to be part of a team that is professionally led. There will be creative opportunities for students to demonstrate original creative thinking alongside these productions and also other projects that will be happening here throughout the year.

There are opportunities for you to get involved in our summer project which offers professional training in all aspects of drama performance. It is the one time where you can be involved with productions that are delivered ‘in-house’, working to a tight schedule you have the chance to be part of productions that are performed in The Festival Theatre and Forum Theatre.

Malvern Theatres Young Company seeks young actors aged 16yrs+ to audition for their upcoming summer production and Edinburgh Fringe tour.

 

Euripides

Medea

Directed by Nic Lloyd

 

TAKE PART in an intensive four-week acting training programme, staging the ancient Greek tragedy, Medea. As part of the high-quality acting course, students will work with industry professionals to produce a full-scale production at Malvern Theatres, before heading to the prestigious Edinburgh Fringe Festival for a week of performances.

This professionally led experience will provide you with a unique opportunity to improve your skills and discipline in preparation for further training and auditions.

 

Rehearsals: 22nd July – 5th August 2024

Performances: 6th August – Friday 9th August at Malvern Theatres, Studio One

Edinburgh Festival: 10th August – 18th August 2024 (inclusive)

Work Experience at Malvern Theatres

If you are studying theatre, drama or a related subject and are required to undertake a placement as part of your degree or equivalent course, we would be happy to hear from you. Please state your area(s) of interest or expertise, college/university or equivalent institution, course title, course leader, your year of study and an idea of your availability.

We do offer a week long work experience placements but these places are very limited so do get in touch well in advance of your preferred slot. Work experience is offered for GCSE, A ‘level and BTec students and occasionally undergraduate students. We strictly only consider applications from individuals aged 16 years and above at the time of their placement, but places are limited.
