Two comic-book-writing school kids hypnotise their headmaster, transforming him into the perfect title character for their work: Captain Underpants.
The beloved underwear-adorning school superhero, Captain Underpants, is taking the leap from print to silver screen, in a retelling of one of the most cherished children’s books of the last decade.
George Beard (Kevin Hart) and Harold Hutchins (Thomas Middleditch) are best friends. They’re 10 years old or thereabouts, and have already started their own company – Treehouse Comix, Inc – where they write and draw comics which are then sold to fellow school kids on the playground.
Constantly under the watch of their mean school principal, they decide to hypnotise Mr Krupp (Ed Helms) and turn him into the star character of their comics: Captain Underpants.
Captain Underpants stars renowned comedian Kevin Hart (Central Intelligence) opposite actor and writer, Thomas Middleditch (The Wolf of Wall Street), in the roles of the prominent duo: George and Harold. They’re joined on screen by Ed Helms – best known for the Hangover trilogy.
David Soren directs Captain Underpants, being well known for his work across other animated future classics, such as Shark Tale and Turbo.
