Churchill (PG)

23rd June 2017 - 29th June 2017

With just 48 hours left until D-Day, the fate of the UK lies in the hands of one man and his decision.

It’s May 23rd 1944, and Hitler and his relentless Nazi army are preparing to strike their most devastating blow to date.

While tensions throughout the globe reach fever pitch, the fate of the UK is at stake. And for one man, it’s decision time. British Prime Minister, Winston Churchill (Brian Cox), must come up with a plan, and do it fast. But bitter clashes with the Americans and his own generals, as well as his inner-demons, are not making the decision-making process easy. As the clock ticks and D-Day approaches, the time has come for one of Britain’s most celebrated leaders to show the world what he’s made of. Directed by Jonathan Teplitzky (The Railway Man, Broadchurch) and scripted by Alex von Tunzelmann (Medici: Masters of Florence), Churchill is a masterful historic thriller set to leave audiences on the edge. Starring Emmy-Award winner, Brian Cox (Braveheart, The Bourne Supremacy), stars as the charismatic Winston Churchill, whilst Miranda Richardson (Sleepy Hollow, The Hours) plays his wife Clementine.
