Fresh out of jail after a five-year imprisonment, a weary master burglar returns to a rain-soaked Paris only to find his girl is now the mistress of a rival dope-dealing gangster. Utterly disheartened, he reluctantly accepts the proposition of his young protégé, for a quick smash-and-grab raid on a prestigious jewellery store, but only if they step up the job into an all-out jewel heist. With an impeccable plan and an expert safe-cracker, the thieves are on a roll. But what if opening the impregnable safe is the easiest part of the job?
