Falconry: Past and Present with Jemima Parry-Jones MBE
12th June 2019 7:15 pm
Event Navigation
Falconry is arguably one of the oldest working animal relationships with man. The purpose of this ‘Noble Art of Falconry’ was originally to put food on the table. Over time its purposes changed: first to a sport for the rich and, more recently, to assist in saving lives on airports, and clearing rubbish dumps from unwanted scavengers.
This talk (by Director of the International Centre for Birds of Prey, Jemima Parry-Jones MBE) looks at Falconry through the ages and includes a demonstration of flying.
