The story of a precocious six year-old and her ragtag group of friends whose summer break is filled with childhood wonder, possibility and a sense of adventure while the adults around them struggle with hard times.
‘The Florida Project’ follows six-year old Moonee and her friends as they go on summer adventures in the shadow of Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
She lives in a community of extended-stay motel guests during the summer, watched over by her rebellious but caring mother and the kind-hearted owner of the motel. Enjoying the innocence of childhood, she gets into mischief and misadventures while the grown-ups try to get by in the background.
The new film by Sean Baker, the director of ‘Tangerine’, ‘The Florida Project’ is a critically-lauded drama starring Brooklynn Prince and Willem Dafoe.
