God of Carnage

14th September 2022 - 17th September 2022

Here to There Productions presents
God of Carnage by Yasmina Reza
Translated by Christopher Hampton

A Comedy of Manners – Without the Manners!

What happens when two sets of parents meet up to deal with the unruly behaviour of their children? A calm and rational debate between grown-ups about the need to teach kids how to behave properly?

Or a hysterical night of name-calling, tantrums and tears before bedtime?

Boys will be boys, but the adults are usually worse – much worse.

THIS PRODUCTION OF ‘GOD OF CARNAGE’ IS PRESENTED BY SPECIAL
LICENCE ARRANGEMENT WITH CONCORD THEATRICALS

Event Reviews

  • Laurence

I was unfamiliar with the author of God of Carnage but anything that has Christopher Hampton on the poster is always of interest. A friend recommended this, and I have to say it was an absolutely brilliant evening's entertainment... hyper-real, monstrously funny, and in a way an incredibly accurate portrayal of all our inner angsts pouring out at once. The twists and turns throughout were non-stop, and I haven't laughed so much for a very long time. All of the performers were brilliant, spot-on with their portrayals of the inner tantrums we would all like to have at some point. I would really like to give it six stars! Thanks all of you and bloody well done.
