Hyena

24th April 2018 7:45 pm

Spirited and striking, Hyena is an innovative, synchronised display of strength from Alula Cyr, the first all-female Cyr trio. With precision and poignancy, Hyena marries awe-inspiring Cyr wheel skill, acrobatics, song and dance to reveal the fierce and complex friendships between the three artists.

Renowned for their innovative approach to creating structures with Cyr wheels to handstand on, tumble through and use as a tightwire, Alula Cyr are a phenomenon. Hyena is their debut full-length work.

Suitable for ages 7+
Running time: 60 minutes (no interval)

“A breath- taking fusion of circus, dance and atmospheric effects …The audience was blown away by the sheer, audacious gymnasticity of these highly skilled stunt- tumblers” LONDON THEATRE 1

“Thrilling moves, touching interaction and sheer charm … Exuberant, fierce and spirited” The Widow Stanton

“Their acrobatics are indeed awe-inspiring … HYENA keeps one in a state of rapt attention throughout” Plays To See

“HYENA screams girl power at the top of its lungs and, coincidentally, represents and embodies the essence of womanhood. A strong show that empowers and inspires.” Miro Magazine
