Live Art No Safety Net

17th August 2019 7:30 pm

phil ironside presents

LIVE ART
NO SAFETY NET
Risk>Intention>Execution

Never been attempted by him before with a live audience or on such a scale

Watch and hear his extraordinary creative process while he paints a 2.4m x 1.5m canvas

LIVE IMMERSIVE ART

The changes we perceive consciously are only a fraction of the information we act on every second. Everything we see, hear, smell, touch and perceive affects us.
Just by being there you will affect the outcome of the painting.

Phil Ironside has been creating and painting all his life. His work derives from perceiving the constant interactions we make with our external and internal landscapes. How we are affected by our environment and how we affect it.

He has long been toying with the idea of painting as a performance art and this is his first (never been done before by him) one man show to share the incredible energy that he brings to his paintings and to bounce off a live audience. There is no preparation or pre-planning, it is truly without a safely net.

The evening will consist of:
– An introduction to Phil Ironside and how he got to this point, his inspiration and techniques.
– The performance of a painting 2.4m x1.5m with commentary of his thought processes.
– Question and answer session
– Auction of the painting
