A Love Song (PG)

7th January 2023 - 8th January 2023

Two childhood sweethearts, both now widowed, share a night by a lake in the mountains. A love story for those who are alone.

Faye (Dale Dickey) is a lone traveler biding her time fishing, birding and stargazing at a rural Colorado campground as she awaits the arrival of Lito (Wes Studi), a figure from her past who is navigating his own tentative and nomadic journey across the rugged West.

Like the country music that has traditionally channeled the heartbreak and resilience of Americans in search of themselves and others — on the road, in the margins, and off the beaten path— writer-director Max Walker-Silverman weaves a spare, lyrical and ultimately joyful refrain out of the wondrous and transformative act of being alone.

Cert: 12A

Running time: 1hr 21mins

Please note: All entry to Malvern Cinema is currently through the fire exits located at the front (Grange Road) side of the building. For audience members entering through the rear (Park) doors, entry to the Cinema is via the corridor adjacent to Door 6 of the Forum Theatre. We very much regret that, for reasons of safety, there will be no wheelchair access to Malvern Cinema until further notice.  Because of this we will be substantially increasing the number of film screenings in the Forum Theatre, which remains accessible to wheelchair users.  For more access information please click HERE.
