Mozart Don Giovanni (Overture)
Mozart Symphony no41 ‘Jupiter’
Beethoven Piano concerto no3 in C minor
John Lill – piano
David Curtis – conductor
Acknowledged as a leading interpreter of the works of Beethoven, John Lill has been performing recitals since the age of nine. John will be performing a Piano Concerto premiered in 1803, with Beethoven himself as the soloist.
Two works by Mozart are featured in the first half: Don Giovanni’s Overture, completed – some say – on the same day as its premiere, and Symphony no41, the longest and last of his symphonies, and one of the very first symphonies to be recorded in 1913 using the earliest recording technology.
Pre-show talk, 6.45pm. Free admission. Book HERE.
