Event Navigation
Tasked with keeping peace across the universe, Valerian pairs up with Laureline. Together, they move through different planets and dimensions, facing unexpected challenges at every turn.
It’s the 28th century. Space and time are a playground that can be crossed and explored. The universe has unfolded to all, allowing different species to mingle and new worlds to develop.
But with growth comes responsibility – and danger.
Valerian (Dan DeHaan) is a no-nonsense agent, determined to follow protocol and systematically deliver results. Off the clock, however, he’s not so straight-laced…
Laureline (Cara Delevingne) is the opposite. Witty, courageous and a little bit risky, she’s known for using alternative tactics to get the job done. But when it comes to her personal life, she’s unexpectedly traditional.
Valerian doesn’t hide his desire to expand his relationship with Laureline beyond the professional realm, and she’s not shy about rejecting him. When their commander (Clive Owen) orders the pair to conduct an important mission, the two unlikely agents must learn to work together.
They travel to Alpha, a whimsical city where the entire universe seems to converge. But in this vast fusion of culture and innovation, a great evil lurks in the shadows.
Based on the much-loved graphic novel of the same name, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets sees director Luc Besson’s (The Fifth Planet) childhood passion come to life. With a star-studded cast of sci-fi rookies and pros alike, it features DeHaan (The Amazing Spider-Man 2) and Delevingne (Suicide Squad) alongside Ethan Hawke (Boyhood) and music-superstar Rhianna.
