Malvern Festival Chorus “Darkness and Light”

16th March 2019 7:30 pm

Malvern Festival Chorus presents an evening of more contemporary sacred music, two works from the early 20th century and one from the early 21st century. The performance features two of the most popular British composers of this and the last century, Howard Goodall and Ralph Vaughan Williams, together with the renowned Czech composer, Leos Janacek.

The concert will feature the accomplished soloists soprano – Alison Ponsford-Hill, tenor – Richard Coxon, baritone – Quentin Hayes, harp – Ruth Faber, organ – Julian McNamara, and piano – Penny Vere.

In the atmospheric setting of Malvern’s beautiful Priory, the programme explores the theme of darkness and light through the works of these three very different artists.
