Coronavirus Announcement

16th March 2020 - 30th June 2020

Following government advice and restrictions, Malvern Theatres Box Office is now closed until further notice. At present, all shows and events until the end of June have been cancelled or rescheduled. If you purchased tickets online, you should have been issued an automatic refund to your original method of payment. However, if you purchased tickets for upcoming performances directly though the box office, during the period of closure we are not able to process card refunds. Everyone with tickets for cancelled shows will be contacted and refunded once we are able to reopen the box office. Please refer to our website for information regarding individual events. If you have a query regarding a refund, please email rachel@malvern-theatres.co.uk

Many shows are being rescheduled and there will be opportunities to exchange or re-book for the new dates, where possible we are contacting customers via email with options regarding these events.

Chief Executive Nic Lloyd said: “It’s a difficult time for everyone, but Malvern’s incredible community spirit has buoyed us no end. We know how much the theatre means to everyone in the town and we are working hard to ensure that we are ready to reopen with the best possible programme when the times comes.

“Circumstances sadly dictate that our box office cannot function fully at this time, but I’ve no doubt our audiences will appreciate this is an extraordinary situation and entirely out of our control.

“We look forward to seeing everyone soon and, in the meantime, please stay safe and well.”

Updated 30.04.2020

_______________

Following government announcements, Malvern Theatres will be closing its doors temporarily for the first time in more than two decades to help stop the spread of Coronavirus.

It is with great sadness that we do so, but these are extraordinary times and we value the safety of our audiences, staff, actors, and performers, above all else.

Ticket holders for cancelled shows will be contacted.

Our online box office will operate as usual, and we appreciate your continued support throughout this challenging period.

Credit notes or refunds are available over the telephone. If you are able, please consider changing your ticket for a future show or gifting it as a donation to the theatre.

Like all independent traders, we fear this closure may hit us hard. Only 1% of our running costs are publicly funded and we rely on ticket sales to operate.

We will re-open our auditoria as soon as we are advised by the government that it is safe to do so, and we look forward to seeing you then.
