A Tribute to Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette

Two of our most distinguished actors, Michael Maloney and Nichola McAuliffe present this fascinating portrait of Colette, the author of ‘Gigi’ set against the Paris
of La Belle Epoque and the First World War.

Written by Richard Edmonds, this compelling evening will tell of an assortment of astonishing characters, including a spider who drinks hot chocolate at midnight with Colette’s mother, an old Spanish aristocrat Pepe, in love with blue and gold, Alain, with his obsessive love for his cat, and Missy (aka the Marquise de Belboeuf), with her plumber’s overalls and her poodle’s-hair moustache.

The dark and disturbing mingles with the colourful and amusing in this rare mosaic of prose and dramatized readings.
