Tom, 28, is a pretty tough guy who leads a life that might be regarded as criminal. While feeling he is at a critical point in his life, a chance encounter prompts him to take up the piano again and work to become a concert pianist like his mother. His teacher is a Chinese virtuoso who has recently come to live in France. Speaking no French, music is the only language they share. Soon, Tom’s bid to be a better person means he begins to want to find true love. But his attempt falters when his dubious past comes to light.
