An ageing jockey hopes to win one last title for his long-time trainer.
Character actor Clifton Collins Jr. shines in his role as Jackson Silva, a veteran of the horseracing circuit. Years of riding, not to mention injuries, have taken their toll and he knows
his days on the track are numbered. But his trainer has acquired a magnificent thoroughbred and it becomes Silva’s urgent ambition to bring him first across the line. The arrival of
young rookie rider Gabriel, claiming to be his son, complicates matters.
A straightforward story, told with authenticity and an eye for detail, transform into something magical.
