– Extra staff to help at all times
– Freedom to come and go as you wish

Kate and Lisa start a choir to bring together their fellow military wives while their husbands serve in Afghanistan. But this creative way to cope soon inspires the nation and, before they know it, they find themselves with an international platform. Kristin Scott Thomas, Sharon Horgan, Jason Flemyng star in this moving tale, directed by Peter Cattaneo, based on the true story of the Military Wives choir.

Kate (Kristin Scott Thomas) assures her husband she’ll be fine as he heads out on his next military tour in Afghanistan, leaving her at the military base.

She’s one of many wives left behind while their husbands are on active duty. She dedicates her time to keeping the women’s spirits up through the social committee, who’ve come up with the latest idea of starting a choir. Now she must work alongside the laid-back Lisa (Sharon Horgan), a total contrast to her strait-laced nature, to ensure the choir gives the women the lift they need.

Although Lisa and Kate clash at first, they find a way to make the choir hit the right notes. In fact, it works so well that they find themselves going from practicing at the military base to performing on an international level. Soon, the choir that was about getting through the pain and worry that comes with being part of a military wife turns into a way to bring hope to many more military families across the nation.

Academy Award nominee Peter Cattaneo (The Full Monty) directs this heartfelt story based on the real-life Military Wives choir. Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (Darkest Hour, Salmon Fishing in Yemen), Sharon Horgan (Game Night, Catastrophe) Jason Flemyng (Great Expectation, Sunshine on Leith) and Greg Wise (A Private War, The Crown) give moving performances in this story about a community of women getting through emotional difficulty.
