Three Colours: Red (15)

6th June 2023 5:00 pm

|Recurring Event (See all)

One event on 6th June 2023 at 5:00pm

The third and final part of Krzysztof Kieslowski’s trilogy has been acclaimed as his masterpiece.

Immaculately played by an extraordinary cast, Three Colours Red masterfully plays on Kieslowski’s interpretation of brotherhood and destiny. Irène Jacob is stunning as a young model who meets a retired judge by chance when she rescues his dog from a car accident. Jean-Louis Trintignant is utterly compelling as the embittered judge who spends his days eavesdropping on his neighbours’ phone conversations. Their initially fiery relationship mellows into a close friendship that ultimately liberates them both.

A final twist of fate reveals the destinies of the characters from all three parts of the trilogy.

Cert: 15

Running time: 1hr 39mins

Language: French with English Subtitles

Please note: All entry to Malvern Cinema is currently through the fire exits located at the front (Grange Road) side of the building. For audience members entering through the rear (Park) doors, entry to the Cinema is via the corridor adjacent to Door 6 of the Forum Theatre. We very much regret that, for reasons of safety, there will be no wheelchair access to Malvern Cinema until further notice.  Because of this we will be substantially increasing the number of film screenings in the Forum Theatre, which remains accessible to wheelchair users.  For more access information please click HERE.
