The Lego Movie 2 (U) RELAXED SCREENING

22nd February 2019 10:30 am

Everything has not been awesome for five years. Following the harrowing events of Taco Tuesday, Bricksburg is a living apocalypse, leaving its residents hardened and cynical. But not everyone has lost their enthusiasm for Lego life… Emmet and his friends return in The Lego Movie 2: The Second part, starring the voices of Elizabeth Banks, Chris Pratt, Alison Brie, Stephanie Beatriz, Will Arnett, and Nick Offerman.

Duplo still rule Bricksburg following their invasion on Taco Tuesday five years ago. To cope with the chaos that has taken over the neighbourhood, the Lego citizens have been forced to adapt to their post-apocalyptic surroundings, becoming hard, cynical, and most importantly, super tough.

And then there’s Emmet (Chris Pratt).

Still convinced that everything is awesome, Emmet refuses to listen to his girlfriend, Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks) when she tells him to toughen up, and is even delighted when an invading alien called Sweet Mayhem (Stephanie Beatriz) crashes into their homeland.

When Emmet’s friends, including Wyldstyle, are kidnapped and flown into space by Sweet Mayhem, Emmet will have to find his edge and flex his Master Builder muscles to bring them back home. But can the eternally chirpy Emmet actually deliver when everyone is relying on him?

The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part is the follow-up to 2014’s smash hit The Lego Movie, and features the voices of Hollywood’s best and brightest. Starring Chris Pratt (Jurassic World) as Emmet, along with Elizabeth Banks (Power Rangers) and Will Arnett (The Lego Batman Movie), who reprise their roles as Wyldstyle and Batman.

Exciting new characters are voiced by Stephanie Beatriz (Ice Age: Collision Course) and Tiffany Haddish (Girls Trip), while Nick Offerman (The Founder) and Alison Brie (The Disaster Artist) return to the cast.
