Director: Sebastien Marnier A replacement teacher arrives for a class of elite students after their previous professeur committed suicide. The substitute soon notices the strangely violent behaviour of this close-knit group of six. Unusually smart and precocious, the teens are intent on cutting themselves off from the rest of the school, engaging in activities that resemble the creepy rituals of a sect, spreading hostility and fear across the school. Soon, the teacher discovers their dark vision of a doomed future and their contempt towards the powerless adults who can no longer protect them. 2018 (15) - colour 104mins (drama/mystery)…

‘Cracking adlibbing…a joke-rich rallying call for a better Britain’ THE GUARDIAN 'Coruscating live performer specialising in lacerating topical gags' THE INDEPENDENT I was in the middle of a UK Tour when theatres had to close due to lockdown – and the tour was called ‘Healing The Nation’ – so that title worked out well.   When a mysterious stranger arrives in a gated community on the outskirts of a large Polish city, he is welcomed by the wealthy residents who embrace his talents as a masseur. Though his hands provide healing, his eyes seem to penetrate their very souls, lifting a disquiet in each of their lives. Zhenia (Alec Utgoff) possesses a magical gift and to the residents, his Russian accent also sounds like a song from the past, a peaceful melody from their childhood when the world was a safer place. And though his hypnotic techniques bring calm his background remains a mystery,…

Antonio Pappano and Paul Wynne Griffiths conduct in the Autumn, with Carlos Álvarez in the title role alongside Lisette Oropesa and Liparit Avetisyan. In February Stefano Montanari conducts a cast that includes Luca Salsi, Rosa Feola and Javier Camarena. Listen out…
