Malvern Theatres Secures Funding for Singing Workshops
Malvern Theatres’ has received £1,355 from The Ashley Family Foundation to help fund a series of singing workshops in the Autumn.
The singing sessions will be open to all and will be an opportunity for local people to come together to socialise and sing.
Bridget Lloyd, head of Engagement and Creative Learning, said: “Malvern Theatres strives to make the arts as interactive and inclusive as possible, and so we’re delighted to be able to offer a new series of singing workshops thanks to The Ashley Family Foundation.”
Jane Ashley, from The Ashley Family Foundation, said: “The Ashley Family Foundation’s main charitable objective is to strengthen rural communities and what better way to do that than through people coming together and singing.”
Malvern Theatres is a charity with only 1% of its running costs publicly funded. As well as its renowned programme of theatre, music, entertainment and cinema, the theatre does regular workshops for people of all ages and abilities.
