Event Reviews

  • Gerry

The choreography was brilliant and the dancers danced their socks off. What energy and coordination.

But - why can't the producer find a real fiddler? The man playing the electric violin, wasn't. It was very obvious from his left hand positioning and from the bow movements. Furthermore how could you play wheel jumping around like he did?

The bagpiper was even more ridiculous. He had the bag under his right arm ( not the left) and the drones were sticking out in front of him. He sure as hell wasn't blowing into the bag nor playing his chanter.

The blonde lady singer was definitely miming. Its was so obvious.

My final criticism: why wasn't there a program of some sort to tell us about the performers and the history of the show?

However, full marks to those brave dancers. Their hand jive at the end was absolutely brilliant. To do it when they were so tired, was a marathon achievement.
