The Emoji Movie (U)

4th August 2017 - 17th August 2017

Multi-expressional emoji, Gene, goes on an epic quest to define his one true characteristic through the lands of Textopolis and beyond.

Deep inside the world of your phone lies Textopolis, where all your emoji live, ready to be used in your texts…

There are all kinds of emoji living there, each with their own personalities, but one is a little different.

Gene (T.J. Miller) is an exuberant character, born without a filter, dancing about between a range of expressions. And all he wants is one specific persona to call his own.

He enlists the help of his two best friends in Textopolis – Hi-5 (James Corden) and expert code breaker Jailbreak (Ilana Glazer). Beginning an epic journey through a range of apps, each with its own distinct world, they search to find the code that can fix Gene once and for all.

But this goal is about to be well and truly trumped by an even greater issue – the fate of every emoji rests on the ability of these three, when they learn they must save the entire world of Textopolis before it is gone forever.

The Emoji Movie – previously titled Emojimovie: Express Yourself – stars some of Hollywood’s best known voices, including the legendary Patrick Stewart (X-Men: Days of Future Past) as Poop and James Corden (Trolls) as Hi-5, with Gene being voiced by T.J. Miller (Office Christmas Party).

Director, Tony Leondis, is no stranger to animated success, having worked on Lilo & Stitch 2: Stitch has a Glitch back in 2005
