Iolanthe is the seventh operetta and is a topsy-turvy love story involving fairies and members of the House of Lords – a political fairy tale that only Gilbert & Sullivan could conceive and containing some of their most famous music including The March of the Peers and Private Willis’s When All night Long. Gilbert at his satirical best and not to be missed!!

Sublime. Beautifully sung by all the actors, wonderful hammed-up, enthusiastic interactions between chorus members, and accompanied by a top notch twenty piece orchestra, bringing out the best in Sullivan's superlative scores. Victorian nonsense at its lightly satirical best.
